A Mountain Retreat Worth Celebrating

A Mountain Retreat Worth Celebrating

Modern sitting area with four gray armchairs around a wooden coffee table, open shelves with decor above a small kitchenette, large windows with mountain views, and wood-paneled ceiling.

The November/December issue of Mountain Living Magazine features the stunning Breckenridge retreat of our Houston-based clients, the Keiths—a home that captures the essence of modern mountain living through both beauty and functionality.

From its seamless integration of indoor and outdoor spaces to its panoramic views of the Rocky Mountains, the residence embodies a refined take on mountain modern design. One thoughtful detail is the oxygen system in the primary bedrooms, designed by Altitude Control Technology, which allows guests to acclimate comfortably to the high altitude of nearly 9,000 feet.

Created in collaboration with Pinnacle Mountain Homes and Collective Design, the home balances functionality with warmth. Natural materials—including stone, petrified wood, bouclé, and faux fur—bring depth and texture, while curated artwork from Summit County’s Roitman Art Galleries personalizes the interiors with a strong sense of place.

The Keiths’ retreat is a showcase of what’s possible when architecture, construction, and design align seamlessly: a home that is as inviting as it is breathtaking, and one that feels distinctly tailored to its owners.
