Breckenridge Interior Design Before & After

A modern dining room with a wooden table, six chairs, large windows with curtains, a stone fireplace with candles on top, light walls, wood ceiling, and a nature-themed artwork on the wall.

The Collective Design team reimagined this 1980s slope-side condo, remodeling key spaces and updating finishes to reveal a brighter, more functional home. Curated furnishings and accessories layered in comfort and style, completing a transformation that feels both modern and timeless.

Located in the Village at Breckenridge Resort, this two-bedroom condo serves as a company-provided retreat for employees, their families, and friends. With frequent use by a variety of guests, the design needed to balance durability with a warm, inviting aesthetic. The team approached the project with a clear vision: modernize the home, maximize its functionality, and create an atmosphere that feels welcoming for every guest—all while staying true to a mountain modern aesthetic.

A Fresh Foundation

To provide a cleaner, more timeless backdrop, new trim was added throughout the condo. In the living room, a stacked-stone fireplace surround instantly brightened the space, creating a strong focal point that added both texture and warmth. The design centered on high-quality finishes, fixtures, and furnishings chosen for both their durability and their ability to elevate the home within the client’s budget. Even small upgrades, such as fresh finishes, dramatically transformed the look and feel of the space.

A Refined Kitchen Refresh

The kitchen was thoughtfully reimagined with refaced cabinetry, marble quartz countertops, updated appliances, and modern light fixtures. A practical yet stylish tile backsplash and a fresh coat of paint brought cohesion, resulting in a space that is not only more functional for guests but also brighter and more inviting.

Elevated Retreats

In the bedrooms, the design team created serene escapes with a timeless, modern aesthetic. Durable yet stylish furnishings were layered with textures and artwork, transforming the spaces into comfortable retreats that feel both restful and refined.

The finished condo achieves a seamless balance between functionality and elegance. Durable materials ensure the home is well-suited for its frequent use, while thoughtful design details infuse sophistication and warmth. The result is a mountain-inspired retreat that feels modern, inviting, and timeless for years to come.
