A Family Home Rooted in Place | Western Sky Ranch

Featured in the March/April issue of Colorado Homes & Lifestyles, this Western Sky Ranch residence captures the essence of a modern family retreat—timeless, functional, and deeply connected to its surroundings.

Set on 24 acres overlooking the Breckenridge landscape, the home was designed in collaboration with bhh Partners and reflects a shared vision: to create a space that would evolve alongside a growing family. The result is both contemporary and grounded—a place designed for gathering, reflection, and everyday living.

A modern outdoor dining table set with dishes, glasses, and a vase of flowers overlooks a scenic mountain landscape with snow-capped peaks and lush green forests under a clear blue sky.

Large expanses of glass open the home to panoramic views, while natural materials and subtle textures bring warmth to its modern framework. Every design decision was made with intention, from the thoughtful flow of public and private spaces to the personalized interiors that speak to the client’s lifestyle.

This project is a testament to the power of place—and the importance of designing a home that holds meaning across generations. In both form and feeling, it honors the rhythms of family life while celebrating the beauty of the Colorado mountains.
