A year of vision, craft, and collaboration
From sleek modern retreats to richly layered family homes, our top five projects of 2022 reflect the diversity of our clients’ visions—and the collaborative design process that brings them to life. Each project tells a unique story of place, lifestyle, and intentional design choices.
Purchased in 2021, this 2016-built property was a blank canvas of white walls and basic finishes. Our clients—a Denver family with two young children—partnered with Design Director Lisa Yates to transform the home into something deeply personal. By layering color, pattern, and texture, we created a traditional-meets-transitional residence that balances vibrancy with warmth.
On a ten-acre Malibu estate, our team reimagined interiors that originally leaned heavily Spanish traditional. The clients sought a more transitional aesthetic—lighter, modern, and minimal, yet still true to the home’s character. We introduced a neutral palette, brighter finishes, and thoughtful detailing, resulting in a space that feels both sophisticated and serene.
Designed in collaboration with Pinnacle Mountain Homes, this mountain modern residence was conceived around its extraordinary views. White oak flooring, a waterfall quartzite kitchen island, and stone walls that flow seamlessly from entryway to great room anchor the home. Expansive glazing ensures that the surrounding landscape is a constant presence.
At the base of Keystone Ski Resort, this sleek, modern residence was designed for family living and après-ski entertaining. The Collective Design and Collective Architecture teams worked hand-in-hand to create spaces that connect directly to the outdoors. The lower level and patio offer a hub for gathering after a day on the slopes, while the upper-level embraces panoramic views of the mountains.
In this new construction project, details define the experience. From textured wall coverings and industrial accents to floor-to-ceiling windows, the home is layered with design moments that feel both intentional and expressive. Working with Savante Wine Cellars, we designed a temperature-controlled custom display complete with a leather banquette—turning wine storage into a central, social experience.
Each of these projects demonstrates our belief that design is deeply personal, tailored to reflect lifestyle, location, and legacy.
